The Challenge
Meta's Engineering, Product, and Policy teams needed a strategic partner to translate complex content risks—including Al-generated media and sensitive enforcement edges—into actionable product improvements and operational guidelines for a platform serving 3B+ users. The challenge required someone who could bridge the gap between technical requirements, policy constraints, and frontline operational realities while maintaining platform integrity at unprecedented scale.
My Approach
Ground Truth Analysis: Acted as the primary source of ecosystem reality for Engineering and Policy, validating theoretical risks against actual user behavior.
Metric Design: Defined and monitored sentiment and prevalence signals to proactively identify enforcement gaps before they escalated.
Feedback Loop Architecture: Built the operational feedback loops that ensured frontline quality signals were successfully ingested into the technical product roadmap.
AI Risk Evaluation: Developed evaluation frameworks for emerging GenAI trends, ensuring policy teams stayed ahead of rapid adversarial shifts
Impact & Results
Actionable Policy Guidelines: Translated complex AI-generated media risks into clear enforcement protocols, directly informing the technical roadmap for 3B+ users.
Strategic Analysis Cadence: Delivered the weekly ecosystem health analysis that became the 'ground truth' source for cross-functional leadership decisions.
Proactive Optimization: Identified and closed enforcement gaps in sensitive content categories, directly improving platform integrity scores.
